The whole book was a page turner.

I loved reading this book. The author did a really good job creating a new world with interesting creatures and a unique culture. I also love reading books with strong female lead characters. The whole book was a page turner, and there were some action scenes that I couldn’t read fast enough. Highly recommend for people who love immersing themselves into different worlds. So good!

If you enjoy sci-fi, and good storylines, you’ll enjoy this book.

The Strains of Taun is an engrossing story set in the future, with themes relevant for today. The 2nd book in the Ahlemon Saga , you don’t have to read the 1stone ( The Last City) to enjoy and understand this one. It picks up where the 1st book left off, but we’re then spun off into new stories with both new and familiar characters. I liked the dual plotlines, and the difference in the civilizations – one so advanced, and one seemingly less so (but the animals have evolved!) The plot twists keep you guessing – and made me nervous! The story plays into fears of AI, robots, and people from different places speaking different languages coming to your country. If you enjoy sci-fi, and good storylines, you’ll enjoy this book. I look forward to the 3rd book in the trilogy!
